Malin Abrahamsson

Born and raised in northern Sweden, Malin Abrahamsson is an interdisciplinary artist interested in material and existential transformation. The recipient of national and international grants and awards, Malin has participated in exhibitions and residencies around the U.S. and abroad. She has completed several public commissions in and around NYC, awarded by MTA Arts & Design, NYC Department of Culture's Percent for Art program, and Public Art for Public Schools. Malin’s digital animations have been included in billboard screenings at Times Square, the Garage Doors Video Series at BRIC in Brooklyn, NY, and JR Toride Train Station in Tokyo, Japan. In 2022, Malin was awarded a fully funded 2-year Works in Public Fellowship at The Art Students League of New York. She currently lives and works in Brooklyn, NY.
